Coloramo Federal Credit Union is committed to strengthening financial inclusion across Western Colorado. To ensure our products, services, and strategies reflect the needs of the communities we serve, we’re inviting local students to join our new Student Advisory Board (SAB). No Coloramo membership is required to apply!

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something that directly impacts our community. As a board member, you’ll collaborate with local schools, colleges, and community organizations while building strong connections with other young leaders across the Grand Valley.

The program will include seven board members, ages 16–25, and will meet once a month for four months at Coloramo’s 24 Road location in our boardroom. Each meeting will last approximately 1.5 hours. During these sessions, you’ll share ideas, learn all about digital banking, and provide feedback that helps shape the future of banking for your generation. You’ll also gain valuable insights into financial literacy and leadership that will benefit your future:

  1. Leadership Experience: Gain real-world leadership skills by helping guide projects, events, or community initiatives.

  2. Professional Development: Build your résumé and gain experience that looks great on college or job applications.

  3. Networking: Connect with business leaders, community partners, and other motivated students.

  4. Voice & Impact: Share your ideas to make a real difference in your community and influence programs for young people.

  5. Financial & Career Insight: Learn more about money management, credit unions, and career paths in finance and community relations.

  6. Confidence & Communication: Improve your public speaking, teamwork, and decision-making skills.
