What is a CDFI?

Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) are mission-driven financial institutions (Coloramo Federal Credit Union) that provide affordable lending and financial services in communities that are underserved. Their goal is to expand access to credit, capital, and financial services to help individuals, small businesses, and communities thrive.

What is a CDFI Advisory Board?

A CDFI Advisory Board is made up of community representatives who provide input, feedback, and guidance to ensure the CDFI stays aligned with local needs. The board helps identify barriers to financial access, advises on products and services that would best serve low-income or underserved populations, and ensures community voices are included in the institution’s planning and decision-making.
